About the Author

I am a cross-cultural communications, public speaking, and leadership trainer and coach, working primarily with a culturally and linguistically diverse population.  My almost 20-year career has brought me in contact with people from every part of the globe, from all walks of life, embracing many different belief systems, and representing many different perspectives.  I have come to appreciate the diversity of human society and recognize that there is much we can learn, especially from those we disagree with.  As Pastor Rick Warren has said, even a broken clock is right twice a day.

I know many Christians feel frustrated or at a loss of how to address the many divisive issues confronting the church and American society.  I have come to recognize that many of the communication strategies I have been teaching in my classes would benefit anyone wishing to engage in the discussions that could lead to solutions to the problems we collectively face.  It is my hope to raise awareness of the importance of communication skills and cross-cultural communication strategies to enable these discussions to more effectively take place.
