Creativity: Born in Diverse Circumstances

Steven Johnson is an interdisciplinary thinker whose book Where Good Ideas Come From: The Natural History of Innovation explores creative innovation.  One of his key ideas is that creativity is more likely to occur in “liquid” environments – situations and circumstances where there are many ideas freely “floating” and “colliding,” creating new combinations and fresh solutions.
